The erosion of authority

The role of the teacher in society has become diluted in attitudes, words and behaviour. It seems as though anyone can be a teacher, yet classrooms are increasingly left without a teacher. When respect and trust disappear, disrespect becomes the norm, and both authority and the teacher’s self-confidence begin to crumble.
