A breath

‘A breath’ is a single moment in our lives. It is a feeling that comes before sadness, but does not break you. It is that fragility when you are alone, but not lonely. When you stand by the window and the moonlight offers no comfort, yet causes no pain either, and time neither moves forwards nor backwards. It simply is.

‘A Breath’ does not speak loudly. It does not demand your gaze. It waits, patiently. Like a person who loves you quietly, yet completely, unconditionally.

This painting does not tell a story, but holds space. Space for your quietest feelings. For what you haven’t yet put into words. Or don’t even plan to put into words. Because some feelings are too delicate to speak of. They can only be felt. Only breathed in.
