Illusion

Education may appear to be successful. The results are measurable and the rankings are high. But when schools are expected to bear the burden of what happens outside their walls, the system gradually begins to crumble. Success may be nothing more than a thin statistical veneer covering something fragile and brittle – and that will not take us any further.
